Horizon ADU was started out of a desire to help families in the Boston area. Our mission is to help homeowners transform unused space on their property into valuable housing for a wide range of people. This approach expands access to high-quality schools, local amenities, job centers, and well connected neighborhoods.
Our Story
This business began after the owner took an 18-month break from work to travel, something made possible by investment property he and his brother bought years earlier. That experience showed him the power of passive income and how it can create real freedom.
After discovering ADUs, he saw a unique opportunity: homeowners could create rental income using land they already own, without needing to compete in a hot real estate market. Learning more, he became especially drawn to how ADUs support multigenerational living. A strong relationship with family has always been a priority, and ADUs provide a way for families to stay connected while maintaining personal independence.
Additionally, Boston and Massachusetts as a whole are facing a housing shortage and rising prices. ADUs help tackle this problem by offering a flexible, more affordable option while also increasing local housing stock.
